The mission of Imagine It! The Children’s Museum of Atlanta is to create environments and activities where young children experience the power of imagination and the pure delight of learning with each other and with grown-ups.
Volunteers are essential to the success of the Museum. Our volunteer program is comprised of over 500 enthusiastic and extraordinary people who are passionate about the Museum and our mission. Get involved today! Whether you have experience working with children or in another capacity, we can use your skills.
In return for your time, you’ll enjoy a unique volunteer experience. You will have the opportunity to work in a fun environment with great people. This is a great way to give back to your community.
All volunteers must possess excellent communication and exceptional customer service skills. In addition to volunteers to work on our exhibit floor and during special events, we’re looking for volunteers with special skill sets to help us in our Education and Memberships Departments.

Volunteer Requirements
- Complete the Volunteer Application
- Complete the Background Investigation Consent Form (18 years and older)
- If you are under 18 and want to volunteer, contact our Volunteer Department
- Must be at least 15 years old
- Forms must be submitted and received at least two weeks prior to volunteering
- After we have received your completed application and consent form, we will contact you to set up your schedule.
Please Note: We do not participate in court ordered community service volunteer hours
